REPUBLICANS VS. CONSTITUTIONALISTS

I want to clarify my political party positions. I am a strong supporter of the constitution party, however I would would vote for Fred Thompson.... a member of the republican party. The constitution party argues that many conservatives are settling for the "'good enough'" candidates. I am in total agreement, however the sad truth is that the constitutionalists simply do not have enough candidate publicity to win the election. Now, I understand that I could looking at this the wrong way, maybe even taking a desperationist stance on this dilemma. In fact I know that I am. But there is a slim chance in heck that a third party constitutionalist will even get on the ballot. The democrats would just burn all the ballots anyway then say they lost them. Also, I believe that Fred Thompson is a good man with strong southern conservative values. Of course, that's what we thought when we elected Bush....... anyway! On a serious note however, I just had a gut feeling when I saw Fred in a television interview that he isn't in this for the power, I believe he has entered this political zoo to be a public servant and meet the challenges the liberals are putting before this country. Fred may actually be a REAL human, with a REAL sense of humor instead of a FAKE plastic smile. He doesn't need "religious advisers" to talk about faith while campaigning. (cough* cough*, democratic party!) Don't think I'm satisfied with the republican party in general, these days it seems to be merging with the democrats into one giant liberal.

P.S.... If I could handpick the president, Michael Savage would be sworn in today. No joke.

I agree with you about being a constitutionalist but I also realize we have to vote for who can help us and win. I am interested in Fred and would like to know more about him. If God wants us to have another chance in this country we need men with a conscience and character.
